Steven Rothke, Ph.D. received his doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the University of Kentucky and is board certified in both Clinical Neuropsychology and Rehabilitation Psychology through the American Board of Professional Psychology. He has served as Director of the Neuropsychology Testing Laboratory and head of the Department of Psychology at the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago. He is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Departments of Psychiatry & Behavioral Sciences and Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation at Northwestern University Medical School. He is the Immediate Past-President of the Illinois Psychological Association where he served as President for 2007-2008 and 2009-2010 and co-chaired the task force to institute mandatory continuing education programming for psychologists in Illinois.
Dr. Rothke has published articles in legal, insurance, and psychology journals including Psychological Assessment, Defense Counsel Journal, and Inside Case Management. His work addresses professional issues in neuropsychology such as expert testimony, disability determination, competency evaluation, development of job modifications to accommodate mental disability, and assessment of malingering and exaggerated claims of impairment. He has appeared on the NBC Nightly News and his practice has been profiled in the Chicago Tribune.
